Leads Rotary's staff and worldwide operations. Previously vice president of the Millennium Challenge Corporation from 2004 to 2009, where he negotiated some US$6.3 billion in foreign assistance agreements.
A communications executive and founder of Media Street Productions. In 2022-23 she became the first woman to serve as President of Rotary International.
Directors serve two-year terms and are elected at the international convention. With the officers above they set Rotary's policy and direction.
Two of this year's leaders come from Indian clubs: M. Muruganandam of the Rotary Club of Bhel City Tiruchirapalli serves as Vice President, and K.P. Nagesh of the Rotary Club of Bangalore Highgrounds is a director for 2025-27.
Rotary International is led by a president who serves for one Rotary year, from 1 July to 30 June, and sets a theme for clubs worldwide. The Rotary Foundation — Rotary's charitable arm — is governed separately by a board of trustees.
Below that sit districts, each led by a district governor. Our club belongs to District 3211. Day-to-day club leadership is our own office bearers and committee chairs.
